How to Create FAQs That AI Systems Can Cite

FAQs directly match user queries to your answers. This is high-value content for AI visibility.

Why FAQs Matter:

When someone asks an AI a question you've answered in an FAQ, the AI can cite your specific answer. FAQs are citation gold.

What Questions to Include:

Process Questions:

  • How does working with you work?
  • What's included in your service?
  • How long does it take?

Pricing Questions:

  • What does it cost?
  • Are payment plans available?
  • What's included at different price points?

Qualification Questions:

  • Who is this right for?
  • What do I need to get started?
  • Do you work with [specific type of client]?

Objection Handling:

  • Why should I choose you over competitors?
  • What results can I expect?
  • What if it doesn't work for me?

Writing Great FAQs:

✅ Write questions how people actually ask them
✅ Provide complete, helpful answers (2-4 paragraphs)
✅ Include specific details and examples
✅ End with a clear next step

❌ Don't leave them hanging with partial answers
❌ Don't use corporate jargon
❌ Don't make answers too short

Example of Good FAQ:

Q: "How long until I see results from email marketing?"

A: "Most clients see measurable improvements within 30-45 days. In the first month, we focus on foundation work: list cleanup, segmentation strategy, and automation setup. Results typically start appearing in month two as campaigns launch. By month three, clients average a 25-35% increase in email-driven revenue. Timeline varies based on your list size and current email strategy. During our discovery call, I'll give you a more specific timeline for your situation."

Start with 5-10 FAQs, add more as you think of them.
